Everyday latin

et al.                - et alii means 'and others'. 
                           Example: This paper is written by Clack, Jones, Smith et al.
etc.                  - et cetera means 'and so on'. 
                           Example: As many people know, there are 12 signs of the 
                           Zodiac: Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, Taurus, etc.
e.g.                  - exempli gratia means 'for example'. 
                           Example: Many colors are used as a symbol of virtues e.g. Red 
                           represent courage.
i.e                    - id est means 'that is'. 
                           Example: Prime number is a number divisible only by 1 
                           and itself i.e the prime number is an unique number.
vs.                    - versus means 'against'. 
                           Example: In the last world cup, Italy vs. French was the game 
                           to watch.
ex                     - means 'relegate to the past'. 
                            Example: After three months of their divorce, she find out that 
                            her ex-husband just married her cousin.
ad nauseam   - means 'so on and on and on'. 
                            Example: Even though they are in the middle of school project, 
                            Miranda keep talking about her boyfriend ad nauseam.
de facto          - means 'in actuality'. 
                           Example: Even though the Police named Palmer as head of 
                           crime family, Jack is de facto leader of the gang.
